Pam Stone Eagleson, CG*
Pam has been involved in genealogical research for over thirty years.

Wednesday, 4:00 p.m., W151–“Confronting Conflicting Evidence”
This lecture spotlights six examples of  conflicting evidence she has confronted over the years and how she resolved the conflicts. Among the conflicts to be discussed: which of 4 different surnames found for the father of great great grandmother Charlotte Fasse Graue is correct; where was 5 times great grandfather Capt. John Harper born–PA or VA; labeled photographs that do not agree; how many times was Wash Viser married and which wife mothered which child.

Saturday, 11:00 a.m., S424–“Grandma’s Treasure Chest Revisited”
This is an updates of a lecture given at NGS 2013. This lecture explains a method for identifying and documenting family artifacts and revealing the stories they may tell. Among different artifacts examined and documented:  Grandma’s high chair is placed in historical context; a letter and postcard picture reveals a 70 plus year relationship between a former slave nursemaid and the children she cared for; new information on the origin of Grandpa’s fiddle is discussed; and an early 20th century autograph book gives a glimpse into the college life of the lecturer’s Mother.
