If you are interested in learning more about the art at the St. Charles Convention Center that J. Mark Lowe referenced in his blog post today, the St. Louis Art Museum currently has a special exhibit of twenty-two George Caleb Bingham paintings.
Visit the museum website at http://www.slam.org/bingham/, then go to the “plan your visit” tab to download the self-guided multimedia tour of this exhibit online. The exhibit consist of twenty-two original paintings. Visitors may download the multimedia information and use an iPad while visiting the exhibition or use a museum iPad during their visit.
The museum is in Forest Park, about a 30 minute drive from the St. Charles hotels and conference center. The exhibit closes on Sunday, 17 May, the day after the conclusion of the NGS Conference.
