St. Louis Genealogical Society, the NGS local host, offers tours on Tuesday, 12 May 2015. All buses depart from the Conference Center. Conference registration is not required, tours have limited space so register early.

Historic Daniel Boone Home & Heritage Center and the Lewis & Clark Boathouse: This all-day tour provides insight into both pioneer life in the early 1800s and the 1804 Corps of Discovery expedition, with lunch in the wine country included.
The Boone Heritage Center offers a glimpse of early settlers in their new home west of the Mississippi River. Tour the home and adjoining village. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended as the path is sometimes uneven. Most buildings are accessible to those with mobility issues.
The Lewis & Clark Boathouse is situated on the bank of the Missouri River in St. Charles and marks the place where the Corps of Discovery started their arduous expedition in 1804. Learn about their two-year travels to Fort Clatsop, Oregon, and back.

Historic St. Louis Tour: This all-day tour, with lunch included, introduces many highlights of the area. The tour guide, a St. Louis historian, will provide background information, architectural highlights, and the history of various facilities, including cemeteries, churches, homes, mansions, museums, and the Gateway Arch.

St. Louis County Library: Home of the NGS Book Loan Collection, the library is open throughout the conference. Researchers may drive any time or (on Tuesday only) register for the limited bus service. Several restaurants are nearby.
